And love the audi, but it has a few niggles, ie dash lights dont work, other than that love it.

Welcome Del,bit of a newbie myself.Had a 96 passat estate with dodgy dash lights.Always found that a slap on top of the dash got them working again.

Have you checked the fuses and the dash light dimmer etc?
I know it sounds like an obvious suggestion but you never know :)

yes i looked at fuses ( took a while to find them ) lmao, all are ok, just 1 question, " dash light dimmer " ??????

ok i found dimmer ( didnt work ) any other ideas ???:confused:

Nothing other than try fresh bulbs mate. Do the instrument lights work ok? (ashtray light etc).

only thing that light up is instument panel ( hazards / fog lights etc ) interiour lights and boot lights ok:1zhelp:

The ashtray should light up when you switch on the headlights. Try changing the ashtray bulb first (its easier), if it doesn't work, your problems lie a bit deeper.
