Wing Mirror Glass DS.

I was lucky enough to have my wing mirror (glass only) smashed by some of the lovely local kids. :zx11:

(I say lucky, as I'm not sure if going all hannibal lector on the little b'stards is legal, parents might complain etc.).:confused:

Anyhow, has anyone changed the glass on a heated electric wing mirror on an Audi A4?

Is it difficult to change?

Where's the best place to purchase one from?

I've purchased one off ebay for £20.50, complete replace, not a sticky mirror.

Has anyone had one apart before?

To remove the mirror glass you just slide a screwdriver or similar between the mirror glass and housing, then lever the mirror glass and it will just pop out, there will be 2 wires for the heating element so take note which way round they go. Reconnect the wires and the mirror glass just push fits back in.

EASY PEASY :)
