Looks like we are in similar boats, just chopped the 350z (320 miles @ £85) for the 170 model and I'm getting 550 a tank but on a longer run we got 640, so all in all very happy plus I don't need to spend 1k on tires every 15k and no longer do I need to service every 9k, so all in all yeah.. I would like the A5 3.0 TDI next year as a compromise car which should deliver somewhere in the middle.
Nick.
cheers for that nick think ill have a smile on me face for the first time in a petrol station . how much does it cost to fill car now . picking up new car tommorrow . so been doing some donuts in the m3 today before she leaves .....its a sad day but i know ill get over it !!

I get about 700miles out of my 140 2.0 TDi 05, mostly cruising between 60-70mph, and it cost me like 94 euro to fill up last time... I have taken my lead boots off too so the accelerator is used less agressively too... Think you would get 400 or so if you drove the car hard though...
EDIT - Just converted 94 euro @ 1.4 euro per litre to £££ = £92 as avg diese is like £1.32!!!

That would be about the size of it. We are so screwed over by our government in this country and unlike anyone else roll over for them, quietly complaining amongst ourselves but not much else. Add another 2p a litre in November tax increase and it seems more than acceptable I mean it's not as if we can't afford it :-)
