Sub-frame corroded

It's just failed the mot on sub-frame which is corroded.


Nearside front sub-frame corroded and seriously weakened

Offside front sub-frame corroded and seriously weakened

Will a sub-frame of a diesel car fit on my 1.8 20v ADR non turbo or any other model of a b5 will fit on mine. Should i look for the same engine code as mine is? I'll be going to scrap yard for a used sub-frame.

The b5 subframes are a the same so passat 1997-2001 will fit, audi a4 b5 1995-2001 will fit as well, a6 c5 1997- 2003 will fit as well... The choice is big. Pay atention to the mountings points on lower/rear suspension arms where they bolt onto subframe as some models had sport suspension and will have 2 holes for the bolts to thread trough and basic early models only had one.

Sport suspension.So it's gonna be 4wd quattro which i should avoid? What about S4 b5 ? Audi S4 W reg 2671cc will be ok cause they now breaking
