Hi - just bought a 2003 A4 Cab and getting to grips with some of the usual niggles you get with a used car.
It has the single CD Audi Concert head unit.
When I turn the ignition key to the accessory position (just before ignition) with the head unit OFF and leave it there for a few seconds I get a single loud crack or pop noise from the rear left speaker - sounds like a static kind of noise that you would get if you fed a supply voltage to the signal input for a milli-second. (hopefully this description makes sense).
It doesn't do it everytime - seems to do it after being left off for a while as it won't reproduce the noise immediately.
Any ideas? Is it easy to get the speaker out to check the connections etc?
Any help appreciated
thanks
Ken
