Hi yesterday was a fun day........ I got into Shell just after filling up with petrol, car wouldn't start, was the big black bubble hose attached to air filter which connects to the end of the engine had came off, so turned it on and it was back firing like there was tommorow, in the end it worked fine. I then went 24 miles without a problem.

Today I turned the engine on and my coolant autocheck light came on and looked under the car and water was pouring out from under the engine.

I've looked its not coming from any visible hoses. It looks like its coming from behind the left side engine mounting bracket.

Been looking in the Haynes manual, to no avail :(

What could it be? it does say at the back of the haynes manual "possible master cylinder head gasket" I can't see how thought, because surely it would drip oil aswell and can't see it being a crack in the engine, because surely there would be oil leaks from the same area too

I think it might be handy to know which end of the motor you're looking from, Dan; is it the nearside or offside of the car?

Hi all hoses are fine and yes it's bottom left of the engine.

My uncle is a mechanic but very busy and lives far away so him sorting it out is difficult.

He suspects it to be a Core Plug, quick look in google and it sounds like it is. I hope it is because I love my Audi :D

It was the core plugs, they had completly corroded so no more coolant loss :)
