Hi,

I need to get a new set of tyres for my S3.

I have Goodyear Eagle F1's on them at the moment and they are really good so was going to just get some new ones.

Just putting a quick question out there to see if anyone has any suggestions on better/cheaper/more suitable tyres.

Cheers folks,

I've just replaced (yesterday) my P Zero's with Goodyear F1's... so you guys rate them?

Can’t rate them highly enough, brilliant in the wet as well as the dry, they wear really well and look good, have used them on a few cars now when replacing the originals.

(EVO did a tyre test not too long ago and put them as No. 1 I recall.)

I'll let you know what i think after they have bedded in for a few 100 miles.

F1s every time Ive used these tyres on three different cars and will not consider anything else
There are a lot of tyres out there which can cost more than twice the price and dont deliver as good a drive as the F1s

Thats that sorted then. Just one more thing, is it ok to put 225/45/17W on the front when I will still be using 225/45/17ZR on the back as there is still about 5mm of tread on the back tyres.

Cheers

I have Pirelli P-Zero's on my A3 and they are useless in the wet. I think I'll be going back to the Goodyears soon...

Cheaper should be a factor with tyres- get the best ones every time!!!
Can't fault the Eagle F1's.
