Hi all, new here so please be easy!!!
My uncle bought a golf with a problem with the passenger side central locking jumping back up into the open position - so after reading a few posts here about soldering the circuit board and replacing the micro switches he though that would be a little tricky and decided to get a new lock mechanism from a breakers yard.
We changed the lock over and all seemed to be fine until it stopped unlocking the passenger door, and now the door is closed over but will not unlock!!!!!
I've managed to remove the door card, the window and the metal panel to try and gain access to the locking mechanism to try to free it in some sort of way but still no joy, looked at the old lock to compair and the new one seems to be working in the same way but it as if the dead lock (if there is one) is on and cant be opened from inside..... is there any way to remove the lock without the door being opened to access the bolts on the side of the door, ?????
