Hi . not to good at this so here goes . I have a 1995 A6 which had a nice fault develope . when you pulled away the offside spring would go oscillate for about 12 feet then settle down . if you stopped and went backwards same thing . anyway to cut a long story short the problem turned out to be the bush which the shocker goes through it had parted company with its metal mount which connects it to the inner wing ( old age at work ) . Word of warning you will probably have to do anti roll bar rubbers at same time mines just fell apart when i took the nuts off ( cost of these well not much change out of£55.00 ) . I actually removed the complete strut but if you mark up the mounting in the engine bay you can just take the top of and change it . this of coarse is when you discover how good your shocker is . I was lucky as I found one in good nick so could salvage the parts I needed from scappy . Hope some finds this useful . regards william .
