Bosch spark plugs

I've just got hold of a set of Bosch FR78X plugs which I've been told suit a 1.6 16V AZD engine. However, I can't find anything to confirm this and for obvious reasons I'm wary of putting them in until I can.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

i would use NGK because they are best for VW engines, i have had mates that have used bosch and the car was very poor and did not run all that smooth, until thay changed to the correct ones

I tend to follow the plug recommendation listed by VAG and on some there are a number of choices, usually NGK, Beru, Bosch and occasionally Champion. If the option is there, I will fit Beru and failing that, NGK. In this particular instance, VW only list a Bosch for the AZD engine. The recommended plug for a Golf with an AZD engine from 8/2000 to 11/2001 is VW part number 101 905 601 which is a Bosch FR 7 HPP 33+, not an NGK although the NGK number for that car is PZFR5D-11. A Bosch FR 78X is for ATN and AUS engines up to 10/2000.
