Hi,

Just looking for a bit of advice on possibly upgrading the sound system in my A3.

Its a 2004 2.0fsi and the standard sound system is ok but nothing special. I am hoping I can improve it some way and am looking for suggestions.

What would I have to change? Speakers obviously. Amp? Head Unit? (currently audi concert).

Is it possible to upgrade to the Bose system after the origonal has been fitted?
A friend had a 2003 Mini cooper and the sound system was fantastic. He's sold it now but thought it might have been a Bose system but wasnt 100%.

Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Rob

its no problem changing to new headunit, and i would recomend to use an amp, and a pair of new speakers.. the speakersize is 6,5"

it is possible to retro fit the bose stereo system, but i wouldnt recommend it.

i looked into doing this on an alfa 147 that i almost bought. after paying an extortionate amount for the kit, plus fitting time, it really wouldnt of been worth it. also, you can buy individual items and build your own 'custom' system that will sound better, and cost less ;)
