Warning Check Coolant!!

I keep getting this warning on my tdi130, and the coolant level has now been topped up twice in a month.

Is water ok to top it up, or is there a specific coolant? If yes, then where can I buy it.

Secondly, how am I loosing the coolant? Where usually would they leak from? How much are new reserviors etc..?

its prob leaking outta the water pump juat look for coolant signs bout half way up t belt cover and the coolant u sud use is the red long life coolant any motor factors will have it
