Hello,

It's my first Audi and was wondering how many quarts of oil go into the A4 3.0.
Also can I use Castrol 5W50 full synthetic (I live near Boston and going into summer), the car has 73000 miles and I looked everywhere in the manual but nothing of total amount to use.

Thanks:confused:

If this is posted somewhere else I have not been able to do a successful search.

Cant remember of the top of my head but the service manual will tell you how much oil you'll need.

As I mentioned before I looked everywhere on the owner’s manual but it doesn’t have the amount of oil. It states types and measuring. New to Audi and this forum any help and oil type recommendations will be appreciated.

How about 5W 50 any one using this?

Thanks.

Are you looking in the service manual or the owners manual? They're 2 different things, the owners manual is the thick one that tells you how everything works, the service manual is the thin one which the dealer stamps when the car is serviced. The oil quantity should be in the service manual. If no luck check with a dealer what the recomended quantity is, off the top of my head I think its about 6 metric litres. The recomended stuff is 5W-40 so unless your getting a bargain on the 5W-50 then i'd go with the recomended 5W-40, just make sure your using fully synthetic!
