Hi All
Can anyone help.
My Automatic 1999 Golf cabriolet has been hesitating at junctions just after i start it. This actually turned in to it stalling in the end. I would put my foot down to move off and there would be nothing there, then after a few seconds it would suddenly pick up and move, very scarey.
I found out from other forums that it could be a throttle body problem and so cleaned mine out and put back on. This didn't help as although it stopped hesitating, it would'nt idle right and I've had to put a new throttle body on it. It was fine at first but after a week the old problem of hesitating has come back. Any suggestions what it could be? I'm at my wits end!
I've had a VAG reading done and it's found nothing.
P.S I had the water housing unit changed a few months ago and since then my thermostat shows that the engine doesn't get as warm as it used to (always used to be on the halfway mark and now it stays at about 1/3). Would the temperature be affecting this or is it something to do with the air flow?
Any help much appreciated
