Hi guys,

As the title suggests really. Anybody know if there is a way to re-stick peeling tints? My drivers side has started peeling, its not tore or anything, just peeling off so rather than just going and having it replaced all thought is there any glue or anything I can use to stick it on again?

Hope I make sense

Cheers

i think that when they are fitted new, they use soapy water to fix in place, squeezing out the bubbles with a squeegy
maybe you can try a bit of soapy water again?

Hi mate,

Yes thats right, but i think thats because the tint paper already has some kinda stickyness on it, so the water is used so it doesnt just stick to the first thing it touches :(:(. Was wondering if any of the guys has tried and tested or knows of a method to stick the peeling bit back on?

Ive had the same problem.. but on mine even when I re-moistened the tint film it didnt make no difference and didnt stick back on.. I was told by a few people it needed replacing.. When you do get them replaced make sure they are heated onto the glass..

You can't use soapy water to re-stick down tint, they will need replacing. If you got the car tinted yourself take it back as any decent tinter will give you a long warranty on fitting. If you got the car with the tints try to find out where it got tinted originally as if it is redone with a different brand film it will look different to the others as all films are different.

We offer a life time fitting warranty on all our tint jobs, so try to find out who did it and complain!
