GT Sport 170....waiting

I have ordred a new Golf GT 170, but have been told it won't be delivered for 8-10 weeks, is this right????

I was told 16 weeks when I asked ! Hence considering second hand now :-)

I ordered and golf estate in march, was told mid june then in April was told it would be mid july, then last week was told mid august!!!! They are very slow and can tell you, also if you try and get money off or extras for the inconvenience they refuse!!!! :zx11:

I picked my GTSport 140TDI up on march 3rd after a 5 day wait, why are you guys having to wait so long?

The reason my car is taking so long is apparently due to them having no chrome!!!!!:aargh4:

I only had to wait a couple of weeks for mine, but that was because the dealer managed to find one with the spec I wanted already built and waiting to be shipped.

petrol is far more in demand

I would have to disagree there seems to be more demand for the tdi's as they have free stock of the petrol version.

Really, I seem to see a lot more TDI's than TSI's in my area.

i've just bought myself a GT TDI 140, a private sale, as I tend to travel 30k miles a year going to work and back, so a diesel is more effective for me with regards to running costs over a petrol.
