i have an A3, 2000yr 1.6 ... all 3 of the rear break lights (inc the boot light) are not working. The bulbs look ok. Is the cause likely to be a fuse....? I would have thought a blown fuse would effect other components .. lights etc, but all seem fine...?

what makes you think it's not the brake switch?

i guess that would make sense ... where would it be?

i don't know the car but would assume it would be at the top of the pedal,simple micro switch,
or a pressure switch on the brake lines somewhere.have read that they are "dual functional" and also feed the ecu.
