Am I justified to be a bit annoyed here - If so, who at?
VW have had my Passat (again) for today and they will for tomorrow - Ultimately for my iPod adapter.
They've spent "some considerable" time with my stereo to investigate the problem - and they established this:
My stereo and my iPod adapter (that plugs into the CD Changer port) don't work
A VW iPod adapter and my stereo don't workOk, fine, I accept this
A new VW stereo and my iPod adapter don't workOk, then there's something wrong with my iPod adapter.
They've stated that the fitting of my Parrot kit might have caused a short to the stereo and burnt something out - if this is so, then do I have a case to go back to the fitter of the Parrot kit as they have allegedly damaged my stereo?
Oh, just to rub salt into the wound - the dealer has said that they don't think there's a case to take the stereo back to VW and therefore won't.
More salt - I'm now iPodless in the car.
Even more salt, they're going to charge me for the time it's taken to do this.
I'm even more annoyed as they haven't even looked at my suspension yet - as they're claiming that I said that the suspension noise has only just started. Grr.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm pretty narked about this as I still think there's something wrong with the stereo.
Anyone know where I can get a decent after market Double Din stereo that WILL work with my iPod (or does anyone have a VW stereo "kicking about" that they want to sell???)??? :D
