Hi,

New to the forum. Interested in getting my hands on a B5 1.8T Quattro Sport. Can anyone point me in the direction of an existing thread with buying guides and general pros and cons - or indeed feel free to pass on any advice directly!

I'm specifically looking for a 2000, with sub 100K - my budget is £4000.

I've spotted the following cars:

This one! (http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/455739.htm)

And this one! (http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/AUDI+A4/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146,N-50-59-62-111-4294966653-4294966997/search.action?&keywords=quattro&postcode=bt358la&radius=1500&showMoreOptions=&page=1) (silver with 90k @ £3995)

Any insight would be appreciated.

Cheers

You might be better off posting this in the Audi specific section and then under the b5 section.

The piston heads ad looks great to me. After reading the info i had a very good feeling about it, it's been well cared for, those are the ads you should be looking out for. I'm not sure on the price as i dont know what the market value is for these. Mine is fully loaded (first of the b6's) with FSH and is worth somewhere between £6k and £7k If it doesn't feel right or is too good to be true, it is!

Check out Parkers guide for a full review of the b5 with pro's and cons, they have a valuation section as well.

Hope this helps, welcome to the forum :beerchug:
