A3 - New turbo unit 6 wks after warranty ends - any help?

Hi.

Turbo unit seized just after warranty finished. Low mileage car. Audi initially uninterested.

Any advice? How to deal with Audi?

Yes, they should do it under goodwill. Talk to customer services.

well mine shattered 3 weeks after warranty costing 3k to put right! they charge me £700 with audi paying the rest. They clearly should sort it

Is the turbo packing up a common problem with the A3s?

On the 2.0L 16v TDI, yes but not just A3's but also Golf 5, Octavia 2 etc.

there was nothing left of mine we were just lucky it did not go through the engine! it would of been scrap!
