I've had a ding repaired by dentdevils but it has scratched the paint work. Do Audi sell touch up pens? if so, how do i find out my exact paint colour name? it's very tiny so i think a little touch up will be good for it

Hi,

I got a touch up pen from my local Audi dealer. Cost about £5.

You can get the colour code from the inside front page of your user manual, from memory I think its about the 3rd or 4th line down, below the info about engine type, gearbox etc. If you don't have a manual I'm sure if you give them your reg no they'll know.

Bad luck about the ding- I had some lovely person open their door against mine while parked too. If I ever find 'em.......

Nice one mate, will do. Yeah, those dings always caused by careless people getting in and out of cars. My mrs is forever in shopping centres hence the dings. I had 5 - 6 taken out by dentdevils, luckily you pay by panel and not amount of dents! i had 5 in one and 1 in another, the single one was the the one with the scratch, the bastads!!!

Had a fist sized dent done on the tailgate (my fault:Blush2:) and a few other bits near it done on the insurance. She is now dent and ding free. New windscreen next week and then for the alloys to be refurbed :D

I had that done to me only I just got back to the car with my mrs. This women opened her car door and bang into mine.. only TWICE! the second one on the bludy rebound. The mrs mouthed to her through the window (not expletives ;)) and the women pulled a sarcastic sorry face.. as though we shouldn't be there... Stupid B***h. Anyhow there wasn't a mark. So in my opinion, to open a door and leave mark you have really got to wack a door. I think it's done on purpose most times.

The number fo times I've been to Tesco and parked way off on my own only to find a banger parked next to me.. WHY!!!!!!

Blimey Marco, sounds like you had a lucky escape there mate. I always try to park next to decent cars, most of the time i come back and the decent car has gone to be replaced with a banger.

I'm the same in Sainsburys, i'll park miles away to narrow the chances of someone parking next to me :D.

I usually park well away from other cars if possible. It just takes one careless idiot to make a lot of damage to your pride and joy. Our local Tesco has got one of the tightest car parks ever, meaning each car is very close to each other. I've got to the stage where I refuse to take my Audi there and insist we take the missus' Punto instead!

Too right, wish i had that option

When I go Tesco, sometimes I park slightly on to the next bay stopping anything bigger than a smart car parking in it! haha.
I know I shouldnt but my car's been dented twice now and I cant afford to keep paying for other peoples' carelessness!!!

I must admit ive pulled a few people up about this. and if im honest i did it myself once or twice before the wee one arrived, but only when you have kids do you really understand the need for the extra room!

I totally agree, it's not the one in Montrose by any chance is it?
I've found that my car doesn't even actually fit in the spaces, its about 6 inches too long!!
Why don't these people realise that just cause they've paid £500 for their banger, we have spent a lot more on something we cherish!! Tw*ts!

No, its in Inverurie. Yours sounds worse than ours!

I just try and avoid it if possible, too many careless idiots about!

Ahh... yes, I know where you mean. I always parked in the last space as far away from the store at the Inverurie one!!!

Yeah, wish we could avoid it but its either Tesco or Somerfield down here, and Somerfield's a bit rubbish!!!

The worst is carparks with a bit of a slope so the doors hit the car next to them when opened.

I use to have something similar at work, there was a work collegue who just was not bothered when she opened her doors if they damaged the car next to her. She hit my car a few times whilst I was still in the car. In the end I resorted to parking on the other side jsut to avoid her.

I had my car beaten up badly in the Asda in Portlethen. I parked right at the corner of the car park, no one around, and someone opened a van door on it as it caved in the top of my passenger wing.

All those spaces and people have to park right next to you... I was quoted around £600 for a new wing. :(

I've been in the Tesco in Inverurie and I don't like it! Always park elsewhere if I can. Haven't been to the Montrose one though.. :beerchug:

Wouldn't it be nice if all cars had some form of anti dent device when parked.
Something like when you locked the car a rubber insert automatically came out the length of your car about four to six inches.

Better than the stupid trim thats meant to protect your car at present!
