i have a 2003 2.5 TDI SE. Audi dealer says that the camcover gasket is leaking but Warranty Direct wont cover it. Is it essential to replace it since they are quoting over £400/- for it. Please advice

warrenty direct pride themselves on not paying out, they use every clause they can.
Leaking cam cover is not the end of the world, however the side effects are oil on the drive, and possibly oil smell in the cabin.
It will need doing at some stage, but could be left a while with no worry. Do you need any other work doing soon, as most of the bill is labour in changing it. The gaskets should cost under £40 each

The centre of the V crank case breather will be blocked, unless this is cleaned out the new gaskets will start leaking.
