This is the ABA 2.0L engine. This diagnostic trouble code (there's no driveability problem, just the "check engine" light) reappears after being erased. I have Bentley's manual but other than giving the description "Idle Adaptation at Limit" for DTC P1582 the manual is no help. Anybody know what the troubleshooting flow chart for this DTC covers? If the idle air control valve weren't working properly there are other DTC's I'd expect to find, but this is the only one present. Mileage is 206K miles (330K kilometers).
