hi there,
i have 19" rs6's on my a4 and to be honest i personally think the 18's look too small. i would recommend the 19". i also have my car lowered on eibach springs (lowered 40mm front and back, i am planning to purchase coilovers soon though), completely transforms the looks of the car but more importantly the handling. This is the second car that ive upgraded the springs on i ive decided never to have another car without sports springs, completely different car. The ride is a bit more harsh but considering in only 24 i enoj the sportiness. Ill try to put up some photos of my car so you can see what its like.

attached is a photo of my car with 19" rs6's and lowered 40mm. (also has a full bodykit with boot and roof spoiler and a twin exit custom built stainless exhaust) richie_mck
18's will fit no probs but you will want to lower it as well so it doesn't look like a jacked-up 4x4.
The 19's look great btw, but you will be sacrificing alot of comfort and will be terrified of going near pot holes.

Do you not up-rate the shocks too? Ive always been told if you lower a car then change the shocks aswel?
Is this true or not?
Btw your car looks awesome, bet it handles like its on rails!
Cheers

I've got an A3 lowered on 18's without uprated shocks and can definitely advise to do them too. The standard shocks aren't designed to cope with so little travel as well as sports shocks.

Does it not handle aswel as it should?
How much you dropped it?

It's lowered 40mm and handles better than standard, but still rolls too much for my liking. The standard shocks are definitely not able to cope as well as proper sports ones.
