hello guys, you may remember me from such posts as 'front of car wandering' and 'remap, any problems?', well i have a new problem that you might be able to fix.

I just got my car remapped to 170bhp :) [up 40bhp and 70 nm torque] but i have a wee problem with my clutch :( . It hasnt been right since about christmas time and the extra torque has finally cooked it, its okay at low revs but when the torque kicks in i might as well have stayed at home because its going nowhere fast.

I have two options, a replacement clutch from audi or some kind of uprated one. I live about 1 mile from an audi garage so that one can be sorted easily, but where could i find an uprated one and would it be recommended.

How much are we talking roughly for both options?

any help would be appreciated, cheers.

P.s i would still recommend the remap!!!

I had a replacement clutch fitted for £365 all in no problems with the dual mass flywheel.

where from? and was that just the standard?
Mine's not far off from packing up and I'm itching for a remap but know that'll be the end of it...
Mind you, got to get the cambelt done first....
Anyone want to buy a kidney?

Yes it was a standard clutch and it was done by Inditech at Bletchley nr milton keynes.

The car has don 110,000 miles on the original clutch............40k of that was after a remap so I cant complain...........:biglaugh:
