Hi,
I am currently running a re-mapped 1.9TDI running a proven 198bhp and 310b/ft. What kind of figures have other people managed to get, and whats involved in getting more.
Has some numpty in a 306D this morning all over the back of me, but traffics was not good for a little display of Audi power..... oh well.:(

I have seen a few of these re-mapped upto around 170bhp in stock..
What clucth are you running in it?

Standard clutch at the moment, hope it lasts a little longer.....
I do 95% motorway driving, and normal speeds, so not much loading through the clutch most of the time
If its a PD130 a remap on standard hardware can take you upto 190bhp, this is pushing it though and it will be better with 170-180bhp.
If you want to modify the hardware, then a PD150 'GT1749 VB' turbo, or preferably one of the larger hybrids 17/20, 17/22, 17/25, 18's etc (all small frame turbo's with larger turbine & compressor wheels).
Add a more efficient intercooler (side or preferably front mount), a higher bar MAP sensor (calibrated), better breathing / higher flowing manifolds and alloy boost pipes, higher flow exhaust, better clutch, oil/water cooling, brakes and suspension, boost and EGT gauges.
If you want much over 230bhp, some high volume PD race injectors and a high pressure lift pump will come in handy.
The simplest option is to bolt on a better turbo and remap to suit, then replace the clutch with a sportier type when it starts to fail.
Maybe a taller top gear would be useful for motorway driving?
You can push close to 300bhp and over 600NM+ of torque, but driveability compared to standard will suffer, as the very large turbo's tend to push the power band up the rev range. This can be partly remedies through the mapping though.

Here is a bora pd150 we mapped, the only mod was the stage 2 turbo dynamics (and clutch etc..)
