hi all, great site, i have possible problem here and wonder if any of you could help me...
i have an a4 b6 1.9TDi and the tempreture needle gage goes above 90 ..... this has been happening for the last 2 days... also when i start the car in the morning (cold) the gage is already above 50?
ive checked the coolant level when engine is hot and cold and it is ok.
any advice appreciated

Would hazard a guess @ replacing the coolant temperature sensor in the engine bay area.

A 4 pin coolant temp sendor is located at the back of the engine near the bulkhead. Its probably green in colour and a replacement is £15.63 + vat from vag spares. Its only held in with a clip and don't forget to buy a new o ring (o ring and clip £1.33 from same place.
