Hi,

I'm paranoid about scratching the clear plastic in the instrument binnacle that covers the dials.
Mine is covered in water marks where the rain has splashed it when the door was open. Has anybody any suggestions on how best to clean it?

Cheers!

a good quality micro fibre cloth should do the trick

The best thing Iv found over the last few years looking is a camera lens cleaning cloth.

I use 2, 1 dampened with clean water, this tends to clean away any dirt or marks. Then use the other, dry one, to polish it off.

Auto Glym Fast Glass or Glass Polish with micro-fibre.

Don't go near Brasso!!

If the scratches are bad try Meguiars Scratch X with a small applicator pad.

Well, I've noticed the plastic is covered in very fine scratches, which are mainly only visible when there is direct sunlight shining on it. Even though I was careful, using a microfibre cloth and a dash of Auto Glym Fast Glass. I guess they could have been there since the dealers.
The question is, do I live with it (they're not that noticeable most of the time - but I know they're there) or attempt to polish them out somehow?!
