Hi All,

I am new to this thread so bear with me. I have purchased an 07 Golf FSI Match and for the first two months of ownership I was happily plugging in my 8gb iPod Nano into the armrest connector.

However, I recently deleted a load of playlists from my iPod and now when I connect it to the armrest connector the stereo head unit says NO CD with each of the Playlists for the 6 buttons also displaying NO CD when selecting the CD button twice.

I have tried restoring the default factory settings on the iPod and doing a "soft" reset but nothing works. I have also tried someone elses iPod and that did not work either so I'm guessing the problem is with the connection.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Thanks for your help

Hi Twoco

The software version on the iPod is 1.1 PC. There are playlists on the it as I made sure there were at least 6 to fill up the 6 CD slots.

Thanks

when you say you have done a restore factory defaults did you do this via your computer or by the ipod itself, i will have a look at home and see what the current pc update is as mine is 1.3 though im on mac os x but i will do that when later.

Thanks for your help. I do have the latest software on the iPod Nano as I checked for latest updates when connecting it to my pc through iTunes.

I previously did a restore factory defaults from iTunes with the iPod connected to my pc. This wipes off all software and music and reinstalls the software.

I did not have the latest version of iTunes 7.1.6, so I am downloading that as an update. I will give it a go but it did work before with the previous version.

Did you resolve this problem? I have the same thing on my TDI Match 57 plate. It worked for ages then the system no longer recognises it. The Ipod itself is OK it seems to be the car. JB

I've got exactly the same issue on my 2007 Golf Match - the iPod worked for the first week, then all of a sudden it was no longer recognised. 2 iPods - same result: 'No CD' is displayed on the stereos' screen, so it's a case of listening to the radio or CD's!

I've tried everything suggested on the threads relating to this issue (reset, charge iPod, plus iPod in whilst it's playing, turn stereo off & on whilst iPod is on, shouting at it), so it's going back the dealer to sort out.

Any other suggestions would be greatly recieved.

Really annoying! :zx11:

I have since taken my car back to the shop where they diagnosed a faulty connector in the armrest. A new one was fitted and I am back Ipoding again. Yippee. SO TAKE IT BACK.
