Hi,

I'm a bit confused, I have a late 2001 (51 plate) A4 2.5 V6 TDI Quattro sport, which I thought was a B6.

According to the date range on this forum, I have a B5. Please can somebody clarify.. (here are some pics):

She's done 80k and has full Buffalino leather interior. It's Cat-D repaired, I got her for just over £8k - what do you think to her / what I paid?

Cheers
Alex.

Yep, that's a B6 alright, it's just one of the earlier ones if it's on a late 51, don't forget 51 runs into March (I think) of 02 before the plate changes.

I am sure its a B6 that was introduced into UK in January 2001 - I am sure that `Y` reg cars are available and that there are 51 plates as I have one. The only thing I notice from many car part retailers etc that they are classed as 2002 models. This can be seen aparently by the number `2` in the VIN number of the car...i.e. 8Ex`2`xxxxxxx...anyway this is what i have been informed...cheers AJ

Sorry just checking Model designation number I think it refers to 2002 here i.e. 8E2

Thanks for clarifying guys. So what do you think of the car :D

Forum mods; this forum is listed as:
VWAUDI Forum > Model Specific Sections > Audi > A4 - S4 - RS4 > Audi A4 - B6 Forum - 2002 - 2005

Is it worth changing the date range to:
VWAUDI Forum > Model Specific Sections > Audi > A4 - S4 - RS4 > Audi A4 - B6 Forum - 2001.5 - 2005

Or somehting similar?
