Hi all, does anyone realy understand the new tax bands, i have a 2002 a4 avant 1.9 tdi 130 sport, this was taxed in january at a cost of £140.00, just wondering if this is going to go through the roof or stay the same, i have been onto a goverment web site but to be honest couldn't make head nor tail of it, so in short am i gonna be smiling with a desiel or not.
Thanks in advance for you help.

all depends on what the emmisions are. My 1.9 tdi 115 is 154g/km, which is currently £140 a year. when the overhaul happens, it will go up to £150 (band G). they have basically split the bands up into smaller amounts.
I'm guessing the 130 will be similar if not the same. I think there is a page on parkers (http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road%2Dtax/) that gives the values.

We are talking about this in the general chat section. Mine also has the 130bhp engine and is a Sport and it was £140.00, over the next 2 years it shall rise £15.
