Have you really broken them or is it just the slats that have become dislodged? they will slot back in with patience.

Seconded, use a screwdriver/table knife/putty knife etc and just slide it out (unlock the tabs)

The dash regains/retains it's shape, I've repaired my centre vent with broken slats and knackered vertical adjuster - small screws & cyno. Unnoticeable repair vs about £90 for a new one. :D

Unfortunately the little plastic mounting arrangement that controls the left hand slats has broken in half, near the top!
