Hey looking at getting a 02 2L B6 just wondering if the back seats will fold down they are leather if that makes a difference?

I do a lot of kitesurfing and the extra room could come in handy.

Thanks

Hi..

No the rear seats will not fold down, unless the car had the extra factory option of split folder rear seats..

To be honest.. theres not many of them out there..

UNLESS you go for an Avant..

on the top if the level to drop the seats there is a "lock" to drop them...

It was a great extra which i wish i had got..

It is possible to fit the folding rear seats to a non folding car but it is not for the faint hearted!.

Avant folding seats are the same as the saloon ones.

Audi supply most of the fiddly parts like catches and brackets I can supply a full parts list if you require. I fitted folding Recaro S4 leather seats to my 1.9 TDI 130 sport and they look really awesome plus i can fold down the rear seats for loads of extra room.:beerchug:

mine dont fold down either and no ski hatch but i think its great cos everyone thinks cos such big car you can fold the backseats down and fit so much stuff that they dont want to put in there car. ie trips to the dump. A reason i didnt get an avant. I didnt pay all this money for a car to fill it full of rubbish.

I Agree with Churp Ive got a Y plate 2.0l B6 and i love it. I wouldnt dream of filling the back with crap. when we visit the tip i always use my wifes Polo. (but dear i cant drop the seats in my car) Ha ha.

These are meant to be prestige motors!! I didnt pay this much money for rubbish to go in it. If i wanted haul stuff around i would have brought a cheaper different branded estate or large hatchback. focus?? mondeo?? that sort of thing.

It really is funny how some people on here just leap to the assumption that because someone has folding rear seats.........they are going to fill their car with crap?????

I really don't know anyone that would fill their beloved Audi with crap :biglaugh:
