Hard to start

Hi I have a 1999 TDI 110 which has recently became hard to start from cold.I have replaced the heater plugs aswell as put on a new fuel filter,but the problem persists.The heat sensor was also changed,but this did not make one bit of differance either and I am starting to run out of ideas.Has anyone had the same problem or do you have any ideas what might be causing this.Looking forward to your replies as it is starting to do my head in.It used to start so easily:aargh4:

How is the timing? Do you have a vag com ? Does it starts hard with a hot engine ? Does the engine smokes blue after it starts ? Do the glow plug light stays on when you switch the ignition on ? Replace the glow plug relay and see if it improves ! Good luck.

When the engine is hot it will start no problem,it is only hard to start on the cold start.I had it plugged in yesterday and the garage told me it was a faulty heat sensor and replaced it but it made no differance.
