Don't know about a cable direct to stereo, but I'm quite disappointed in the arm-rest one on my Match.

Just appears as CD Aux, with no track names, and only plays playlists. Even then I can't figure out how it decides what to play.

At least it was standard on the Match. If you're getting a GT, then pay £15 for an FM transmitter.

was just wondering is it possible on the gt sport 140bhp can you get a cable ?? surely with money u spend on car and todays technology they'd have something

No you can't just buy a direct lead unfortunately! i would recommend the dension kits which start at around £100, then you can control the ipod via the mf steering wheel or the radio, they also show the track names on the highline computer screen as well. the website is www.dension.co.uk

I have just bough a new 1.6 Match and can tell you the track names from an Ipod connected in the arm rest socket do not appear on the MFD. From what I can gather the only way to get the stereo to display track names is use MP£ files on a CD which is compatible with the standard fit stereo. Whether they get displayed on the MFD I'd have to check.

Can anyone tell me if the track names from an I Pod in the armrest would be displayed on the headunit of the MP3 standard head unit as they are displayed from MP3 CD's? Ive just laid the cable for the CD Changer but im thinking of putting the I Pod dock instead??

Thanks

Depends on what kind of dock you use.

The standard one that is in the Match doesn't display track names, or allow you to browse tracks. Only plays playlists.
