alarm problems flashing indicators

i have bought a 2.8 quattro avant with full main dealer history 2000x. I drove from London last night and on arriving home locked the car on the blip. After 10 seconds the indicators started to flash as if the hazzards were on. I have checked the doors and windows but this happens if the car is locked on the key or the blip. it even does it if the car is unlocked. HELP!:confused:

I had a '98 A4 1.9 TDi until recently and had this happen while i was driving along. I discovered at the end of a sweaty journey (people flashing me and trying to overtake etc) that it was because I'd accidentally pressed the deadlock button on the remote locking thing as i got in the car. On this car it wasn't a flip key it was a separate key and remote, which I doubt you have on your newer model, but if you have a deadlock you could check that.
