Hello fellow Audi pilots....... just wanted to ask a few of you if you wouldn't mind sharing the fuel range of you 1.9 TDi's. I have a friend who says he gets about 630 miles from a fell tank before the fuel light reminder comes on...... i only get about 480 miles......is there a problem with mine (my car has done about 89,000, and my mates is on about 180,000)
Cheers:1zhelp:

Mine isn't the same model but I'll post my mileage info anyway.
Full tank to light on is about 280-300miles. The computer says I do just over 30MPG average. I don't drive it that hard, just spritely!
I must admit that I'm a bit disappointed by the economy, but I guess it's partly to do with the quattro system. The car is a 98 A4 2.5tdi quattro, with 115k on the clock.
I think the most i have got out of my old 110 VE is just shy of 700miles, one long motorway journey.
I never fill the filler neck either.

im the same as ini .. i hardly fill up completely but when i have ive got nearly 800 miles before the fuel light comes on.
My average MPG is around 59-62 so its fair to say i dont drive the car in a sporty fashion. I just have the type of roads to do so as ther are far too many road humps where i live ... most miles are to and back from work which is rural so that would explain why i got so much.
I guess it also depends on how you drive as well.
My car is a 1.9 Tdi
Mine is a 1.9TDI 115 and I usually get close to, or a little over 700 mile to a tank, although that includes some running with the reserve light on.
What model is yours Karachi? 100, 115, or 130? 800 sounds very good to me.

at a guess i would say mine is a 110BHP but i cant be for sure as i dont now. i know its a AFN ....
I have to re-assure you that i drive like a taxi man .. my revs are very light which is probably why i get more miles from the car, plus my work route is on rural roads. if it was city drivin then it would be far lower but i would still expect 500 atleast o a full tank. However as diesel is still climbing i need to get a loan before i fill up again !!!
It is the 110 'red i'.
The most economical B5's are the VE 90, then the PD100 & VE 110 pretty much equal, then the PD115.
Auto gearbox or proper 'torsen' quattro reduce mpg further.
(why have i ever only seen one B5 PD100?)
