Hi all just a couple of questions if any1 could help me.

I have a 2001 a4 b6 2.0 20v which has done 102,000 miles but i want to change the engine to a 1.9 TDI 130 what would be the advantage and dis advantages of this, would the new style audi key be able to be programed to my car thanks for looking at my thread look forward for your advice many thanks

It would be cheaper to buy another audi with the diesel in;)

Engine swaps are not that straight forward.

especially when people want to change from petrol to diesel or vice versa. As nearly everything needs replacing.

yeah it seems to be the wiser choice really but the cheapest 1 ive seen is about 7500 for a 2001 avant model if not i might sell the car to see how much i can get

I imagine id get hit rather hard in the pocket for cash if i was to do it

What about a LPG conversion, its half the cost of petrol. maybe less of a hit than changing to a diesel.
