Have an A4, if left parked for more than 48 hours, the battery goes flat. Have changed the battery no luck! Taken to 2 mecahnics and 2 auto-electricians who are puzzled.

Must be staying connected to something after the engine has been switched off and thus giving it power. Sounds obvious but just check all the lights and listen out for anything still operating after turning ignition off. Can't really think of much else.

Does it have an aftermarket stereo?

I tell you what mate, i've been having similar things! My battery has died on 3 occassions throughout the winter and i thought we narrowed it down to the stereo, as it was draining over an amp and after the stereo fuse came out it went back to normal. I got an autoelec round to fix and guess what, no drain even with the radio fuse in. That was a couple of months back now and it's been fine since. Totally weird, who knows? also, when i disconnect the battery my boot stops opening, i then have to disconnect and reconnect a few times for it to start to work again!! aaaayyyyyy???!!! :biglaugh: you just have to laugh as i've cried too much!
