Hi there, I have had a look on the forum and I am certain it will be here somewhere but couldnt see it.

The small display screen that shows any faults and also OBC information in between the speedo and rev counter, has lines missing from it occasionaly. I have seen this on other Audi's too, my mates A6 had exactly the same.

Is it possible to get a new screen and replace it? or would it be more costly to fix this?

Hi there is info available on this try http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/showthread.php?t=29577 I think it si expensive to fix from Audi but other companies can fix at about £200 or there is a DIY option

Thanks Mullins! I thought I was being ignored on this one! That was a very interesting link and I am not surprised that every Audi Owner on the planet encounters this. Surely Audi have taken note of this fault.

Not sure if I will try the DIY option or not, but still good to know it is do-able. Thanks again Mullins :D

Tried the DIY option on my '98 A4, but no joy. Looks like it isn't always the problem described in that link.

My screen has now went completely haywire, just as well switching it off now.

I wonder if its actually worth shelling out for a whole new pod, but then how long before it goes the same?
