Tax disc holder

The tax disc holder in my A4 has come off the windscreen and I noticed it has a cable attached to it. Does anyone know if this is wired into anything, would it be alarmed? Ta!

Yup - thats right, my wench's Allroad has it as we she has the Nokia handsfree cradle for her mobile. Its a black vinyl that goes to a point where the wire comes out of it at the bottom... the wire then goes behind the dash.
