Hey guys. I was bored online the other night so decided to look for a performance exhaust for my 2003 2.0 20v Passat. The only exhaust that i could find that would fit was made by a company called SuperSprint. I was wondering if anyone on the forum have bought and fitted one and what it was like? Also if anyone knows of any other company's that sell exhaust for my model, that would be a great help. Im not looking for a custom one. I want to be able to buy it and fit it myself. Cheers Chris

I know alot of companies make them for our cars. Supersprint is not worth the money honestly. Neuspeed makes one thats descent, but if you want one thats worth a flip get a TT exhaust http://www.techtonicstuning.com/showcategories.asp?catid=10
You can chose a Remis, borla muffler for it.

Ignore him, Supersprint are worth the money, the quality is amazing. If you wanted Techtonics then I have known Darrel for years.

I'm not saying Supersprint is junk, I'm just a TT fan. Sorry to make it sound that way.

Jayson, TT exhausts are OK, if a little noisy, but quite difficult for us Brits to get hold of. I only get a shipment from the US once a month and my TT deliveries come through another US company I use. I still sell lots of their Rabbit 1 front engine mounts. My years ago I visited Darrel and went out for dinner with him, his father and Colin, it was only then that I put one and one together and realised that Joe Vitone rang a bell, the man who stated EMPI, Inch Pincher and all that. I could hardly eat my dinner!
Transporter13, Supersprint make a system for your car but the only stainless part is a back box which is a little ugly. The Supersprint non stainless parts last around six years but the one on my Golf 2 16v is about ten years old. As soon as the system on my Octavia fails, it will be replaced by Supersprint.

so how much do these supersprint exhausts cost? are they cheaper than milltek.
what about sound, theyre not really loud are they?.

Mine is a series 1, late 2003. Supersprint is just about the most expensive money can buy, in fact I can't think of one that costs more. They are also very quiet.

oh,bugger, and i thought the milltek exhausts were going to work out expensive at around 420 quid fitted!.
i looked at the series 1 octavia vrs about 3 years ago,i had a saab turbo at the time [which was an absolute pleasure to own] apart from the mpg which was rather *****.
at that same time a friend of mine had a passat saloon as a company car but had lots of trouble with the coil sets.that put me off the 1.8 t engine at that time.
i ended up buying a polo tdi pd 100 sport, its chipped up and is running at around 135-140 bhp,so its quick enough and excellent mpg too.for the family i use the passat 1.8 t se 20v.i love it to bits.i had a few niggles to start with regarding oil sludge due to being supplied with the incorrect filter.had to have the sump off and the oil pick up pipe thoroughly cleaned.im using semi synthetic but im going to have that dropped this week to fully after what ive read on this forum.

Humm, put off buying car with admittedly highly unreliable coil packs that cost £29.75 each so you go and buy a car with injectors known for being temperamental and costing £461.63 each! The other thing is, your Passat has the unreliable 06B 905 115 R coil packs anyway.;)
I can’t remember how much the system is for your car, if you would like me to find out I will do.:D

oh double bugger!.
you really are full of good news arent you crasher!.
i read that vw had trouble with one of their suppliers of the coil packs a few years ago but rectified it in the end.
cant comment on the injectors mind.

I think, but don't hold me to this, that they are around £500. I have sent you my email so you can remind me to check the price; I am a bit overloaded at work at the moment so I forget some things I have to do.
