I've just fitted the £79.99 single beam ultra HID kit from HIDS direct to my 2003 a4 tdi quattro and when I start the engine then turn the headlights onto dip beam the brake warning comes on and so does the abs light. If I stop the engine then restart immediately and turn the lights on again, all seems fine. Not handy turning engine on and off every time I go somewhere tho. Bought this kit because it got good feedback but it doesnt seem any better than cheapkits of Ebay! Any idea's?

You've bought the kit that dosent have the extra resistirs needed to stop warning lights appearing on Audi's & BMW's! This is why there is another kit advertised by HID Direct for Audi's & BMW's to stop the warning lights!! Its happened before and will no doubt happen again so dont worry about it! Give them a call and explain the problem, and ask for the resistor kits you need, plenty of feed back that they're used to hearing this and quite helpful!

Hi, I have the same kit and I also fitted the resistors, but the same problem still occurred on my car even with the resistors. For me, the warning lights came on initially every time I turned the dipped lights on ...but I just kept driving for around 10minutes or so and since I fitted them (2-3 weeks ago) I havn't had any further problems with the lights. But yea, you defo need to phone them for the resistors.

Cheers guys, I spoke to the guy at hids direct and have a set of resistors on there way. Funnily enough, been out in the car a few times today and no brake warning probs? Odd, will see how it goes and if prob persists I will fit the resistors. I wonder if its to do with battery voltage, just a thought. Thanks again.
