View Full Version : lowering audi 80 tdi

i have an 80 tdi 1994 on m plate i have fitted boge gas shocks on front and dropped it on front 40mm i havent done the back as most of the time i am driving with weight in the boot wich automaticly lowers it by 15 to 20mm i have the boge shocks for the back but i dont want to put them on with the springs from the kit as i think it will sit to low can anyone sugest anything jay in lancashire

Mine is lowered al round by 40 and it does not move much at all with a load in in it

do you still have the original springs for the front by any chance

It can never be too low!! Mine avant is lowered on 60mm wietec springs and shocks and i wish it was a wee tiny bit lower!! It only moves by a few mm when im towing car trailers, so i wouldnt worry too much!!

ive put the shocks and springs on the rear so its good all round not to firm handles well my next mision if anyone can help ive bought a 80 quattro 2.8 on a 1993 k plate i cant wait to sort handling out and most of all brakes then im going to give the engine a few horses extra i am open to advice on shocks, springs , bushes ,brakes ,and power :biglaugh:

by the way raj i do have the original springs what are your plans for them or are they just a replacement cheers jaylancs
