Problem with starting my Audi A4

I own an Audi A4 1.8 first reg
1995, I have no problems starting it first time, but when i come to re-start the engine on a few occasions it fails to start. After turning the key for several times it eventually decides to start, this can happen when the car is hot or cold it has no preference. Can anyone help :1zhelp:

I had a 1994 1.6 which had an intermittent starting problem. I managed to eventually track it down to the immobiliser in the key. Next time it happens, try removing the key fof a few seconds and trying again. It usually worked fine for me.
