Hi all,

Some of you may have read my post regarding the clicking from behind the glove box at less than 15mph or so, well I'm planning to sort this out soon but have noticed some other problems and wonder if they are linked.

1) Engine tempreture gauge works sometimes, other times nothing... I can cruise down the motorway and 1 min it's working, next not and then 5 mins later, all is fine.

2) Climate control/external temp display, sometimes (most of the time) when I start the car the temp readings on both displays indicate around -5 deg C, after a few mins they rise up to the correct temp.

Any ideas, have checked all the carpets for water from the infamous battery/pollen filter trick but nothing to report.

Cheers.

Do a search on the forum as why its important to have a Working temp sensor ! Replace/clean existing one/wiring as its seems intermitent(electrical fault). Also replace the front temp sensor loccated in the front bumper as that may be duff as well and will turn the AC off if it thinks its too cold(even at normal ambient temp).

Me too for the water temp gauge.... it stops working from time to time.
Turning off the engine and restarting will sometimes restore it.
Reset - Turning off and turning back on (without engaging starter) does not seem to resolve it.

I guess it's a loose connection and the shake when engine is starting makes it good again, or?

From looking at Bryce's mail it seems to tie up this issue..... thanks B.
