I recently purchased an Audi A4 1.9tdi 130 sport, but have found that it seems to have an intermitent electrical problem.
Today for the second time in 2 weeks when i started the car the air con failed to operate apart from the demist mode and the lights behind the dash didnt come on, also the radio stays on when you take the key out of the ignition and wont switch off unless you manually turn it off. Everything else works fine.
I have checked all the fuses which are fine.
The first time it happened it lasted for over an hour and then when i started it up the following day it had returned to normal, but i can imagine the problem will probably become worse.
Anyone had any similar problems?

Hi, I would VAG the car to see what error codes come up. All the devices that you mentioned can be diagnosed from the ECU.

If it was a fuse(s) then the device(s) will stay off untill you've replaced them.
The fact that you say when you start later again and the fault is gone, tell me that the fault code was cleared from the ECU and will only re appear when the fault re occur again.
Post the faultcode(s) and then we can help you from there.

Ok cheers i will look into getting the vag done to check it out.
I take it you have to go to a main dealer to get this done?
