Hi there - My Avant has gone crazy - the windows will not work the remote key will not work, interior lights... nope oh but the alarm works - it goes off while I'm driving!!! and then locked the fuel door! It would not open with the emergency pull which I found while crawling through the car because the boot won't open!!! Does anyone have any idea before I call a Priest :aargh4: Even Audi service is stumped.

has the car been flooded ?
Check the floor on the pax side.
I suspect the CCU under the pax seat has got wet.

The convenience unit is under the carpet on the driver’s side so is not as prone to getting flooded as on right hand drive cars but it does still happen if enough water gets into the heating system. It is sometimes necessary to remove the driver’s seat to get at it, something you don’t have to do on a right hand drive car. On right hand drive cars the heater inlet is on the same side as the convenience unit. The best thing to do is have a fault code read done first.
