Hi All,
I have a 2002 Passat PD130tdi with nearly 140k on the clock. The car has just developed a problem, which only becomes noticeable after about 20 mins of driving at highish speed. The problem becomes apparent when you are on the motorway, and are going over 2800 revs, it feels like it is misfiring and is suffering from fuel deprivation, making the car jump. When you back off the power it goes again, until you increase the power again. It becomes worse as you push the revs more, and when you put it under strain when going up hill. The MPH seems to have dropped down to about 36mpg on the motorway. I have changed the MAF sensor hoping that would sort it, but to no avail.
It was scanned by the local garage, which had 'low voltage to injector number 2' logged. They recommend I go to Lucas, which I have done, and they have been helpful. However the local garage cleared the fault code, and now lucas cant get it to reappear, even after making the car do it.
They are going to replace the wiring loom to the injector and see if that sorts it, but it is a case of suck it and see. Does anybody have any ideas, or had this problem in the past?
Many thanks!!!!

NO Idea at all, but a GUESS could be the bypass valve sticking....

Best of luck,
