Hi all.

After smelling petrol for a couple of days I noticed today fuel leaking from one of the lines running from the back to the front of my a6 avant 1995.

There are 3 pipes running together. 1 fuel and what are the others? fuel return/breather?? or the brake pipes?

The pipe looks like it has failed where the 3 pipes go through one of the spacer things that attach to the car.

Am I looking at replacing all 3 pipes completely or can I just cut out the leaky bit of the 1 pipe thats split and leave the rest?

Any ideas on mot pass/failure I it do just replace the broken bit?

Most importantly, Is this gunna cost me loads of cash? reckon the car is only worth about 1000 pounds max nowadays.

Many Thanks in advance for your help

Mike. :beerchug:

(Sorry just noticed I posted in a4 bit. Ill copy to a6 part too)

One is fuel feed, one is fuel return and the other will be the tank breather. Just repair the damaged section, it will be fine as long as there are no leaks

Thanks for your reply. got it sorted today. 3 complete pipes from rear to front. fitted and 10 mile trip to check for leaks all all rosy.

Cost: 45quid including pipe.

Well happy with that :biglaugh:
